We made it to Vancouver. Got up earlier than we needed to due to concerns about World Cup traffic. But it was all fine. We enjoyed being greeted in the Vancouver airport by signs in French (Hey, we’re in a foreign country!) and art that speaks to nature and the Native art we hope to immerse ourselves in.
That World Cup game in LA that gave us traffic concerns was won by Canada, so the streets are filled with celebrants. Could be a noisy night.
The weather is nice. We had a lovely seafood dinner at the harbor. Had the local sablefish for the first time, moist and delicious.
